Kathmandu, January 6

The Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Security will issue institutional and individual labour permits from all seven provinces from January 8.

Before this, the ministry had been providing labour permits only from Kathmandu.

But from Sunday, labour permits will be issued from the employment offices in Biratnagar and Janakpur. The employment offices in Biratnagar and Janakpur had only been renewing labour permits.

The ministry secretary Ek Narayan Aryal says the foreign employment offices in Pokhara and Butwal have been providing all three types of services, including issuing institutional and individual labour permits and their renewal.

Renewal of labour permits and issuance of individual labour permits has been started by the labour and employment offices in Surkhet and Kailali also.

With this, the provision has been made for issuing all types of labour permits from the labour and employment offices in all seven provinces.

The ministry, in a press release, states that arrangements have been made for accessing all types of labour permits online without the service-seeker having to be present in person and the problem of having to face various hassles has been removed.
